Improved levels of industrial workplace safety are provided at electrical goods and technology retailer Dixons Carphone’s warehouse in North West England, following specification of new impact protection equipment from specialists, Brandsafe.

Brandsafe’s impact protection systems have been installed at Dixons Carphone’s warehouse in North West England

The move sees the UK based manufacturer supplying a range of its industrial safety and impact protection products at the 375,000 sq. ft. warehouse at Bolton’s Logistics North, which is opening to accommodate the surge in demand for technology products during lockdown. The installations have been specifically designed to facilitate pedestrian and parking safety while improving vehicle traffic routing and flow throughout the site.

Brandsafe, working on the product specification side with Dixons in-house planning and design team and onsite contractor Winvic, is providing consultancy and project management services together with a comprehensive package of aftersales support.

Armco barriers and safety ends and corners, PolyWRAP column protectors with steel forklift protection skirting, bollard cover kits, bollards, secure fencing and cages, as well as pedestrian safety barriers, are among a comprehensive package of specialist systems manufactured, delivered and installed on-site by Brandsafe.

Product specification and development sees close cooperation between Brandsafe and project teams as part of an extensive scope of work to provide added safety planning services and expertise.

The new work comes as the retailer renames all its UK retail operations as Currys as part of a major rebrand and a recently announced £190m investment across the group, with revamped stores, an online push and staff training in technology.

Brandsafe, which is experiencing unprecedented growth on the back of significant contract wins and a focus on new product development and service offerings, continues to see considerable demand as UK warehouse and logistics operations ramp-up.

Paul Roehricht, UK strategic account manager, said success reflects Brandsafe increasing specification for high quality industrial safety and impact protection solutions.

He said: “We continue to meet the unique requirements of Dixons Carphone and other customers, adding value through bespoke planning and consultancy services. Project success also vindicates our continued investment in building our capability and expertise to be able to deliver time critical, complex and high-profile contracts.”
