Eaton Limited, which employs 240 staff at its Warwick site, was runner up in the Health and Safety category, sponsored by AIG. The award goes to manufacturers that have achieved the most impressive or innovative improvements in the health and safety culture of their workplace.

 

Eaton was up against stiff competition from a range of innovative businesses – small and large – from across the country. It was selected by a panel of judges drawn from business leaders, industry experts and academics after impressing them with the ability to achieve maintain and improve upon various industry accreditation.

 

Having previously won the Midlands regional title, judges were incredibly impressed with the way the organisation looked at the link between personal values and the work environment. Judges said: “The organisation clearly allowed front line managers to lead Health & Safety improvements across the business.”

 

Jacky Lynch, environmental, health & safety manager at Eaton Limited said: “Winning the regional award was fantastic and this is even better. We continuously work hard on the Health and Safety culture within the organisation and I’m so pleased that this has been recognised. To be awarded this amongst thousands of other manufacturers is great, I’m absolutely thrilled.”
