At a ceremony held recently in Spain, CEVA Logistics, the specialist supply chain management company, named materials handling solutions specialist Jungheinrich as its Northern Europe Supplier of the Year.

Jungheinrich won the award in recognition of the seamless high standard of service and support it supplies to CEVA across multiple geographies.

The award was accepted on behalf of the Jungheinrich Group by Joachim Kiel, Vice President Key Account Management of Jungheinrich AG, and Tony Porter, Divisional Sales Manager of Junghenrich UK.

Jonathan Morris, Jungheinrich UK Sales Director – Corporate Accounts, commented: “CEVA presented us with this Award because our account management approach and structure allows CEVA to benefit from the same high levels of service and customer support across international boundaries.

“We are able to provide this because Jungheinrich has a well established direct network of International Key Account teams offering high quality products and processes globally.

“Therefore  we retain ownership of our downward supply chain and are able to offer a uniform standard of service across CEVA’s business.”

Launched in 2011, CEVA’s Global Supplier Awards are designed to recognize best practice and excellence among CEVA’s supplier base worldwide and to honor organisations which support its quest for Impeccable Execution.

This year’s event, was hosted by CEVA’s Chief Operating Officer, Bruno Sidler, Chief Information Officer Peter Dew and Chief Procurement Officer Simon Boggis, took place in CEVA’s multi user eco-sustainable site in Ontigola, outside Madrid and was attended by approximately 50 suppliers from around the world.

Winners of other award categories included TNT (Road Supplier of the Year) and Cathay Pacific (Air Supplier of the Year).
