One of the UK’s fastest-growing retailer of organic skincare products and herbal remedies has extended its partnership with leading supply chain specialist Wincanton.

It means Wincanton will continue to be the logistics partner of choice to Neal’s Yard Remedies until at least 2014, underpinning the company’s multi-channel operation as it undergoes a period of immense growth both at home and abroad.

Wincanton first won a three-year contract with Neal’s Yard Remedies  in 2008 and has since run the operation from its 500,000 sq ft shared-user distribution centre at Greenford, West London.

Wincanton manages warehouse and distribution on behalf of Neal’s Yard Remedies to stores, retail outlets and homes across the UK, and to outlets all over the world including USA, Asia, Dubai, mainland Europe and Africa.

Jon Hiatt, operations director at Neal’s Yard Remedies, says: “As soon as we started working with Wincanton it was clear that here was a partner committed to immersing itself in our business.

“As a modern, globally-focused enterprise we need a supply chain provider that not only delivers logistics solutions, but which also understands the complex nature of multi-channel operations and has the resource and experience to add real value to the relationship.

“To support our growth plans we need the flexibility that Wincanton’s supply chain solutions provide, coupled with the agility to be able to deal with the many and varied day-to-day challenges presented by a multi-channel operation.”

He adds: “Not only that, but the Wincanton team is a pleasure to work with and clearly shares our values of providing excellent customer service while at the same time reducing the operation’s impact on the environment.”

Guy Elliott, Wincanton’s managing director for contract logistics, says: “These days ambitious and forward-thinking retailers like Neal’s Yard Remedies need flexibility in order to support growth, rather than assets to support their supply chain, and I’m delighted they have chosen to extend their contract with us.”
