The United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) has announced the finalists for each category in this year’s UKWA Awards for Warehousing. The overall winner of each category will be announced at UKWA’s Awards for Warehousing Lunch, which takes place at London’s Dorchester Hotel on Wednesday July 6th.

In addition, UKWA Chairman, Tony Mohan, will present the Chairman’s Award to an individual or company that he considers to have made a real and lasting contribution to the logistics industry.

UKWA’s chief executive officer, Peter Ward, commented: “We are grateful to all those companies that entered this year’s Awards.  The high number and quality of the entries we received underlines the professionalism that runs through the modern logistics industry.”

UKWA’s Awards are established as symbols of achievement in the 3PL sector and emphasise the importance of logistics within today’s economy.

The Awards Luncheon is widely regarded as one of the premier networking events in the logistics industry’s calendar. This year over 400 UKWA members and their guests are expected to attend. 

The special guest and speaker will be Nick Hewer, former PR guru and advisor to Lord Alan Sugar on BBC’s popular show The Apprentice, who will also present the 2016 UKWA Awards for Excellence.
