steam Infrared workshopFollowing on from the success of previous Infrared Workshops, Optris would like to invite you to its next workshop on Tuesday 28 March from 1pm to 5pm at STEAM – Museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon. At 5pm there will also be an optional highlights tour of the museum covering famous GWR locomotives, imaginative story-telling displays, archive film footage and a large number of rare GWR objects memorabilia.

The half day workshop will give you an insight into the theory and workings of non-contact infrared temperature measurement and how it is used. Thomas Ullrich, marketing and sales director of Optris, will cover the physics behind infrared, the types of sensors and what parameters need to be considered. Jonathan Apperley, Managing Director of Process Parameters, will look at the many applications of infrared sensors and thermal imaging cameras. A customer case study will also be included. The theory covered during the presentations will be backed up with a number of live experiments during the afternoon.
