p5 Building up to the sensing event of the yearTrident Exhibitions, event and conference organisers for over 30 years, and Datateam Business Media, publisher of 30 trade magazines including 12 titles in the industrial sector such as Instrumentation have joined forces in the annual Sensing Technology exhibition.

Sensing Technology will be held at the NEC in Birmingham from September 25 to 26 while the previously planned Sensors & Systems show at Silverstone in October will now not take place. Trident and Datateam will work together on Sensing Technology and announce the new show for 2013 at this event.

This year the show has evolved to cover a much wider instrumentation product area and has been opened up to suppliers and manufacturers of test & measurement products and other typers of instrumentation.

Sensing Technology is co-located with six other exhibitions, MM, MEMS and NANO, with Mediplas and TCT Live in Hall 3a. The PPMA is also just a hall away.

p52 Building up to the sensing event of the yearFor those looking for new products or simply the latest information, with the enhanced Sensing Technology 2012 exhibition everything needed will literally be under one roof – from sensors, test and measurement equipment, and other types of instrumentation; to interesting seminars and knowledgeable professionals. The Sensing Technology exhibition is now in its third year, and each has evolved to meet the demands of both exhibitors and visitors.

There are many reasons to attend Sensing Technology, including: to collect information on specific products; to network with knowledgeable professionals; to see the latest developments in the area in which they work; to look at and potentially purchase new equipment; to physically see, touch and even try equipment rather than looking at an image in a brochure or on a website; and to see many different companies – and products – in one place at one time.

The Seminar Suite will be another major focus of the show, providing the opportunity for visitors to hear from professional organisations about a wide range of focused areas, subjects or even views on certain topics. Following each presentation, the floor will be opened up for questions and discussions.

Among the companies already booked to attend this year are Techni Measure, Huba Control, Burkert Fluid Systems, Optris, Dewetron, Sensors UK/Flyde,  Micro Hybrid Electronic, Martec, Infratec Infrared and Kemo, Burkert Fluid Control Systems, Micro Epsilon UK, National Instruments, Lighthouse (UK), Michell Instruments, Dinder UK, Ixthus Instrumentation, Igus, Impress Sensors & Systems, Strainsense and Sensor Technology.
