A recent Buck & Hickman Mobile Centre of Excellence visit to Brammer’s customer EDF Energy’s Torness station has marked a double celebration for Buck & Hickman. As well as notching up the specialist tool and personal protective equipment (PPE) vehicle’s 200th customer event, the visit also highlighted the benefits of partnership working between the sister companies, allowing Buck & Hickman to showcase its offer to existing customers of Brammer.
The Mobile Centre of Excellence hit the road in 2014 and features interactive product displays showcasing innovations in PPE as well as hand and power tools from more than 25 world class manufacturers. On the day of the visit, the vehicle’s displays were customised to the needs of a nuclear facility, including a popular installation of the Facom Safety Lock system. Spark resistant and restricted access tooling were also of special interest to the EDF engineers and maintenance technicians.

At EDF Energy, the Mobile Centre of Excellence was accompanied by one of a fleet of specialist tool demonstration vehicles, which showcase top-of-the-range hand and power tools from industry leading, suppliers including the comprehensive Roebuck range of quality tools and specialist equipment available exclusively through Brammer and Buck & Hickman.
