RAC BuySure proposition now offered on used vans

“Peace of mind” package available on light commercials up to 3.5 tonnes
The RAC has extended its BuySure proposition to apply to all used light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. The initiative was originally launched for used cars two years ago and since then, has been adopted by 190 dealers across the UK.
It is designed to provide customers with a nationwide approved used car scheme that sets very high standards commensurate with the RAC brand and is open to all kinds of dealers including car supermarkets, independents and franchises.
RAC BuySure sees these dealers commit to an 82-point RAC Approved Preparation Standard on every vehicle, a vehicle data check, and a minimum of three months of RAC Warranty cover. In support of this, the RAC provides 12 months’ RAC breakdown cover and enrolment for the customer to RAC Accident Care at no extra cost.
Mario Dolcezza, RAC head of dealer propositions, said: “BuySure is all about providing customers with a used vehicle purchase that is as worry-free as possible. It has proven very popular in the used car market and, we believe, will be equally welcomed by van buyers.
“We are already working with a number of dealers who sell both cars and used vans as well as used light commercial vehicle specialists. They are very excited about the potential of this development, which really has no parallel in the light commercial sector.”
Mario added that the RAC BuySure programme had started to gather increasing momentum during 2015, aided by a high level of recent marketing activity including advertising, PR and social media – all designed to increase consumer awareness.
He said: “Our policy has always been to allow only the right dealers, those who share our commitment to delivering the very best customer experience, to join the programme and we have increasingly seen interest from businesses of this calibre over the last few months.
“During the rest of 2015, our aim is to create genuine national coverage for the Approved Dealer Network and we continue to invite applications from committed dealers – both car and van – that believe they can meet our exacting standards.”
