UK conveying and automated handling specialist, Advance Automated Systems, will be using this year’s PPMA exhibition to showcase its SmartLine conveyor solution. Exhibiting on Stand F12, the company will also be promoting its expertise in developing bespoke conveyor solutions for some of the UK’s largest businesses.

Being a zero line pressure conveyor, Advance SmartLine offers flexibility, modular design and efficiency – suitable for tote, case and carton handling.

Based on 24v DC drive rollers, with options of round bands and V belts to drive individual zones, SmartLine provides cost effective accumulation and flow control for many end-of-line warehousing systems – perfect for handling delicate or varying shapes and sizes of product which need to be queued without contact.

The system can be controlled via a number of modules pre-fitted to operate independently, or on ASI, Profibus and Profinet with PLC control. Various control options can be utilised to provide basic routing through to unit tracking and reporting, thereby allowing integration with WCS and WMS systems.

Advance Automated Systems can incorporate third party equipment into conveyor systems to offer a full turnkey package and all systems can be fully mechanically and electrically installed by the company’s experienced engineers.

Bryn Roberts, technical director, said: “With SmartLine being modular, the main benefit of the system is being able to offer bespoke solutions. With the inclusion of bends, merges, transfers and tote lifts, we can design systems that are fully adaptable to meet complex warehousing requirements.”

Advance Automated Systems supplies automation systems to a wide variety of industries including automotive, logistics and food manufacture.
