Allcomers are invited to take part in the UKWA Multimodal Challenge by playing a specially adapted ‘speed version’ of the educational board game, Business on the Move. This exciting and fun competition will take place on the UKWA Pavilion at Multimodal 2015.

In the UKWA Multimodal Challenge participants must aim to maximise the value of their deliveries by air, land and sea in the board game developed to excite and inspire young people about business and the global supply chain. Players will be competing head to head to make the most profit they can – within 15 minutes. Playing against the clock they will have to balance delivering lucrative long-distance orders with smaller but quicker deliveries nearer to base.

There will be 30 games played over the course of the Multimodal exhibition. A daily ‘leader board’ will record the best scores, with the overall winner being invited to the prestigious UKWA Annual Awards & Luncheon at The Dorchester Hotel, London in July to receive the winner’s trophy from Lord Digby Jones.

“Logistics needs to recruit the best young people to meet the challenges faced in our changing industry,” said Peter Ward, CEO of UKWA. “We hope that this fun competition at Multimodal will encourage the logistics community to reach out to young people and inspire them to become the future of our sector.”
