Rockwell Automation has awarded CWM Automation recognised partner status in a move that will see the two companies working closely, cross-promoting products and developing new solutions. The partnership will see Rockwell Automation promoting CWM Automation to its customers and provide training and engineer assistance. The two companies will also combine in marketing activity and exhibition attendance.

CWM Automation, based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, is only the fourth UK company to be awarded the recognised system builder status and one of just 18 across Europe.

Commenting on the development, Mick Williams, managing director of CWM Automation, said: “Rockwell is a leader in what they do and I have been working with them for the last 25 years. By featuring their products in our machines we give our customers the best possible solution to their needs. Rockwell are constantly innovating and developing new, more advanced solutions and we’re looking forward to collaborating with them in this new relationship.”

As part of the agreement, Rockwell will promote CWM Automation through its networks and work with the company on a new concept.

“We’re excited about working more closely with them as an recognised system partner,” added Kevin Wright, OEM sales manager UK&I Rockwell. “We’re also excited about launching a brand new, unique type of Machine which will increase production speeds in the pot filling sector by incorporating our I-Track equipment within a new design machine developed by CWM. Hopefully, it will be the first of many innovations developed in partnership with CWM.”

Formed in 2006, CWM Automation employs 50 people at its Lincolnshire factory and works with dairy, convenience food, bakery, pharmaceutical and cosmetics companies across the UK and overseas.
