Mobile digital device accessories manufacturer Cygnett is implementing hosted SAP BusinessOne from supply chain IT company BalloonOne for its UK operations. Cygnett will also install SAP CRM software to connect its sales team with the business system; the field sales reps will be issued with iPads that will provide a mobile platform giving them access to live stock data and the ability to take and place orders in real-time.
Once the system goes live BalloonOne will assist Cygnett with interfacing its ERP with its 3PL warehouse partner using EDI. This will automate the
ordering process and help ship products quicker. The company wants to develop a customer portal that will enable EDI communications with those
customers who want to place orders electronically.

We’re also excited about using a CRM system that talks directly to the ERP system. We’ll be able to compile orders in real-time and use live stock information when we are out and about with customers, which is a first for this industry.
