The Easy Truck Group has announced the acquisition of Quicklift Ltd in a move designed to reinforce its position as one of the region’s fastest growing materials handling specialists.
Located in Alcester, Warwickshire, Easy Truck, run by husband and wife team Kevin and Georgina Ryan, are an independent sales and service provider of some of the world’s most prestigious forklift, warehouse and logistics brands. With a wealth of knowledge gained from many years in the materials handling industry, Easy Truck has an enviable reputation locally for providing unrivalled service and innovative products and solutions.
During the past 24 months leading up to the acquisition, Easy Truck has achieved 100 per cent organic growth through the hard work and dedication of the team, together with redefining procedures, policies and commercial focus, which has resulted in increased efficiency, turnover and profitability.
The acquisition of Quicklift, which is based nearby in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, fits perfectly with Easy Truck’s exciting plans for growth, according to managing director, Kevin Ryan.
“We have a great relationship with the Quicklift team, and I have known owner John Grady for many years,” commented Ryan. “Quicklift, like Easy Truck, is a family run business with complimentary profiles in terms of products, systems and expertise. Service, in particular, is one area we have targeted for growth. Therefore the additional engineering support will enable us to push ahead with those plans.”
John Grady will remain in the business for a period of time as a consultant to facilitate the introduction of Quicklift customers and suppliers to Easy Truck and to ensure that a smooth transition of ownership is achieved.
“These are exciting times for the Easy Truck Group, and I look forward to working with John to ensure the smooth integration of two teams who have contributed massively to the success of both companies through dedication, hard work and commitment to customer’s needs,” concluded Ryan.
