CorDEX Instruments has launched its TC7000 intrinsically safe radiometric thermal imaging camera, which it describes as the first of its kind.
The device was launched at the Maintec 2013 exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham.
The new camera provides industry with the means to conduct infrared inspection in Zone 1, explosive environments as well as all other areas. There’s no need for hot work permits, and inspection across the site can be continuous.
With the inclusion of RFID technology, all findings can be tagged to a location and easily documented.
The TC7000 is ATEX and IECEx certified for Zone 1 IIC T4. Very low voltage and current are implicit in its high safety rating but CorDEX Instruments says it has has achieved this without any compromise on performance.
