Fylde CNC Specialists has set the platform to develop its precision turning and milling subcontract engineering business through investment in PSL Datatrack production management software.
With a large base of global customers and typical batch sizes ranging from hundreds to hundreds of thousands, the company needed to maintain control as its business grew. The solution was PSL Datatrack modular production management software, an off the shelf system with the flexibility to be customised.
The the initial PSL Datatrack package covered fundamentals such as generating customer quotations professionally, cost centre reporting, raising purchase orders, monitoring goods in/out, works orders and managing key manufacturing information. The company then invested in Gauge Calibration and Non-Conformance.
Advantages are its ability to provide real time and management information whilst the Time and Attendance module has allowed the company to dispense with analogue clocking in and out by staff and manual calculations of hours worked.
