Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, GSE Systems, global performance improvement company GSE Systems will host a webinar titled, “5 Areas for Assessing Explosive Atmospheres Risk Management Performance,” on Thursday, 3rd September at 2pm London time. The free one-hour live webinar will inform engineering, operations and safety management how to control and eliminate the risks from explosive atmospheres in plants. This second webinar in the four-part control of major accident hazards (COMAH) compliance series will focus on proper management, design, installation and operation of systems that help reduce sources of electrical ignition and improve risk mitigation.

GSE’s Jeremy Gadd, head of control, Instrumentation & Automation, will present this webinar. He will provide in-depth insight and best practices to help plants optimise their engineering and design process, hazard assessment, employee competence development, and overall safety management. The webinar will also feature a Q&A session during which Mr. Gadd will answer specific questions on explosive atmosphere compliance.

“This webinar will prepare facility managers to comply with specific requirements such as the Dangerous Substance and Explosive Atmospheric Regulations (DSEAR) and the Atmospheric Explosions (ATEX) European safety directives,” said Mr. Gadd. “By meeting these standards, plants are ensuring that their employees are performing in a safe and manageable environment while avoiding potentially expensive fines.”
