Fast growing supply chain solutions specialist, Walker Logistics, collected its second major industry award of the year when it was announced as the winner in the Operations SME category at the Logistics Awards, held recently at London’s Grange St Paul’s hotel.
Walker had to beat off stiff competition from other finalists including The Book People, Feel Unique, Fresh Logistics Services and McCulla to receive the prestigious trophy.
The achievement follows Walker’s success in July of this year, when the company’s commitment to operating to the highest environmental standards was recognised when it received the UK Warehousing Association’s Environment award.
Walker Logistics’ sales director, William Walker, commented: “Winning two prestigious industry awards within such a short period is a testament to everyone connected with Walker Logistics and reflects the professionalism and dedication to customer service that runs throughout our business.”
The company’s senior warehouse manager, Wayne Petrie, collected the Logistics Award from John Buckley, sales director of sponsor, Toyota Material Handling UK and the event’s host, Paul Sinha.
