Rubb relocated and extended two blast and paint facilities for international coatings company Barrier Ltd.
Barrier had been using two 20m span x 24m long Rubb NV type buildings, which were originally supplied and erected at Hadrian Way, Wallsend, in 2014, but had been dismantled and stored following completion of a number of projects there.
In 2017 Barrier approached Rubb for a relocation and extension solution. Both buildings were extended to 30m long and constructed at a different location at the Smulders Projects UK site, to support ongoing projects and requirements.
Ken McLean said: “The buildings have worked out fine and we are just about to successfully complete the Aberdeen Bay project for Smulders Projects UK. The Rubb buildings have been used as blasting and painting facilities for jacket legs and bracings on this project.”
