Sheffield based Magnomatics is one of the companies flying the flag for Yorkshire businesses during The Grand Départ International Business Festival which starts today. The company will be showcasing its innovative MAGSPLIT product on a stand sponsored by Tata Steel Speciality Steels and The Proving Factory at the Business Festival which has been organised by UK Trade & Investment (UKT&I) to drive trade, generate investment and raise the profile of Yorkshire companies. It is the first time UKT&I has arranged the festival which coincides with the Tour de France Grand Depart in Yorkshire. The event will showcase some of the region’s most innovative businesses.

“We are really pleased to have been asked to join Tata and The Proving Factory on the stand at the International Business Festival,” comments business development manager David Latimer. “The Tour de France is really important to Yorkshire. With all eyes focusing on the region it is the perfect time for us not only to be showcasing our own business and products but to be supporting the region”.

The festival takes place over four days, kicking-off in Sheffield at the English Institute of Sport where there will be a series of exhibitions, seminars, briefings and ‘matchmaking’ events to drive business growth and the economy. Like the Tour de France it will be passing through key northern cities including Sheffield, Leeds and York.

Magnomatics joined The Proving Factory in 2013 which is part led by Tata Steel Speciality Steels as one of its technology developers, helping to bridge the gap between the companies that develop innovative, low carbon prototypes for the automotive industry and those who can help with the production.
