7 The gift campaign that's set to deliverPalletline has announced that it has raised enough donations to ensure that every child undergoing treatment for childhood cancer neuroblastoma in the UK during Christmas, receives a present.

The palletised distribution network launched a campaign to bring festive cheer to each of the 200 or so children that will be undergoing treatment for the aggressive form of cancer that attacks the nervous system, during Christmas.

The company has now exceeded the target of 200 presents and is now in the process of distributing them to children on hospital wards.

Iain Brown, operations director at Palletline said: “As part of our partnership with NCCA UK, Palletline wanted to go above and beyond to deliver festive cheer to the brave children that have to spend Christmas day in hospital while they undergo treatment.

“With thanks, none of these inspirational children will miss out on receiving a present so we cannot thank our members, partners and the community enough for getting behind our plea for donations and making the campaign such a success.”

NCCA UK helps children access potentially life-saving treatment, supports research and works to introduce internationally available treatments to the UK. It also supports parents by sharing the latest information and providing access to other parents who want to share their knowledge and experiences.

Bettina Bungay-Balwah, chief executive of the NCCA UK said: “Thanks to Palletline, the children and families affected by neuroblastoma know people are thinking of them this Christmas. This thoughtful campaign will bring so many smiles to so many faces and the presents will significantly improve Christmas for the children. We really couldn’t ask for a more proactive corporate partner!”

All surplus presents will be distributed to other children on hospital wards and those at other stages of neuroblastoma treatment.
