Detect contours, monitor rack fronts, check overhangs, prevent collisions—the R2000 2-D laser scanner series solves a variety of tasks in automated intralogistics. Three versions are available—two of which come in a long-range design.
The R2000 2-D laser scanners belong to a new generation of distance-based photoelectric sensors. They combine innovative measuring procedures and the improved precision of mirror optics with the characteristics of industry-standard sensors, such as a space-saving design, excellent integration, and ease of use.
R2000 Detection: When Switching Information is Required
The R2000 Detection is the ‘switching’ variant of the series. In other words, everything from data processing to generation of an output signal takes place within the scanner. With up to four freely programmable monitoring fields, 54,000 measurements per second, and an angular resolution of 0.071°, this multipurpose sensor is ideal for a wide range of 2-D detection and monitoring tasks, such as overhang and compartment assignment monitoring on stacker cranes.
R2000 HD: 2-D Sensor with an Ethernet Interface
The potential areas of application for the R2000 HD (High Density) include service and handling robotics, as well as baggage, pallet, and container measurement. With an operating distance of 30 m for natural objects or reflectors, a resolution of 0.04°, and 84,000 measurements per second, it offers important sensor characteristics that suit any application. Its Ethernet interface enables data to be transmitted in real time.
R2000 UHD: Technological Standard in the 2-D Laser Scanner Market
As a measuring system, the high-resolution R2000 UHD (Ultra High Density) is by far the fastest and most accurate solution for 2-D distance and angle measurement. The extremely level and stable scan area of the sensor makes it possible to capture small objects or edges at maximum precision and speed. These properties are supported by the light spot geometry of the R2000 UHD. This geometry is designed so that small parts that protrude into the scanning plane are detected reliably even from a long distance.
“Long Range” Option: Razor Sharp Over Long Distances
The R2000 Detection and R2000 UHD 2-D laser scanners are designed as standard for working distances of up to 10 m from objects with a response rate of 90 %. Both versions offer an interesting long-range option, with the operating distance increased to 30 m from natural objects. In reflector mode, integrators and users benefit from the detection range of both R2000 variants, which is increased to 100 m.
