RoSPA has been granted top-level Gold Status as part of the new NEBOSH Learning Partner Programme – one of the first organisations in the world to achieve this level.

Gold Status means that RoSPA greatly exceeds NEBOSH’s six Learning Excellence Principles, which outline global best practice for delivering learner experience on NEBOSH courses.

Errol Taylor, RoSPA chief executive, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be given Gold Status by NEBOSH, as this demonstrates our commitment to ensure everyone who undertakes a course through us has the best possible experience, and is given every opportunity to achieve as highly as possible.”

“This is also another example of the ongoing and burgeoning relationship between our two organisations, the aim of which is to keep people safe and healthy at work, wherever they are in the world.”

NEBOSH’s new Learning Partner Programme is a quality assurance programme that recognises partners which prove they meet the six Learning Excellence Principles, demonstrating best practice in the provision of course tuition and support.

Ian Taylor, NEBOSH chief executive, said: “Great learning experiences make great professionals. That’s why NEBOSH’s new Learning Partner Programme is based on the principles of best practice and excellence. We’re delighted that partners such as RoSPA are demonstrating excellent standards of learning. It ensures our qualification holders gain the skills they need to be able to know and do effective health and safety when they return to the workplace.”

RoSPA delivers a host of NEBOSH qualifications and courses to learners around the world, including:

Many employers in construction and other related industries find that the qualification encourages a pragmatic approach to managing risk and can improve the safety culture of their organisation.

RoSPA and NEBOSH’s collaboration extends beyond delivering qualifications, influencing health and safety best-practice across the globe. Since 2005, NEBOSH has been the headline sponsor for the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards. This 14-year partnership has recognised excellence and driven up standards in the field of health and safety.

RoSPA Awards
The RoSPA Awards scheme, which at last count receives entries from organisations in 32 countries and representing 7million people, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

NEBOSH and RoSPA’s visions and missions are fundamentally the same: making the world safer through education and knowledge. The RoSPA Awards help identify and share best practice, which is important because even organisations with a strong reputation for health and safety still can benefit from peer-to-peer learning.

The NEBOSH qualifications that RoSPA provide work in tandem with the Awards to prevent accidents on every continent and in doing so are improving and maintaining the quality of countless lives.
