ToughPIX 2300XP Series, is a new range of explosion proof, digital cameras from CorDEX Instruments. It has been introduced to complement the company’s Centurion XP range. The series adds new features, including an onboard memory of up to 8GB.
The benefit of this larger memory is the camera’s ability to capture more high quality still and moving images, in AVI format, with a resolution of up to 10 megapixels. This allows the maintenance professional to get the most from survey time and ensure images of equipment and processes are crisp and highly detailed. Images are transferred to a PC via a high speed USB.
The rugged, IP54 camera body is made from anodised aluminium with anti-static over mould. It has a backlit, armoured glass, 2.4in LCD screen for image capture and instant review in the field and incorporates onboard, fully automatic strobe flash for image capture in extreme, low light environments. The series features red-eye reduction and 6x digital zoom. It is ATEX certified for image capture within a Zone1 IIC T4 hazardous (explosive) area.
