The new Cat EP13-20PNT range of 48 volt electric lift trucks have been unveiled at a launch event at Impact Handling in Corby.
Jery Mom, from Cat Lift Trucks headquarters says the new trucks have been developed in conjunction with Nichiyu, the Japanese electric lift truck manufacturer.
Ergonomic design elements that improve the working environment include a large access ‘window’ on each side, a low step height and plenty of foot room. Noise levels at the driver’s ear have been reduced to 66/67dB and electric power steering makes operation effortless and links to the Intuitive Speed Control (ISC) which slows the truck when cornering, protecting the driver and load.
The trucks are designed to work indoors and out, whatever the weather. Longer service intervals lower running costs while features such as LED lighting, sideways battery exchange and high residual mast strength add to operational efficiency.
