As the sole distributor for Ajax Machine Tools in Northern England, Noon Machinery Services will be hosting an Open House event from 16th to 17th November. The Stockport machine tool specialists will have five Ajax machine tools on show, which will include the brand new ULTRATURN lathe as well as a host of peripheral workshop equipment and supporting technology from industry partners.

Straight from its product launch at the recent Northern Manufacturing show, Ajax will introduce the dynamic new ULTRATURN lathe. This exciting development is ideal for anything from subcontract workshops through to educational establishments. With the option of the Fagor 8037 conversational control or the Siemens 808D CNC control unit, the ULTRATURN can easily be integrated into any machine shop environment. With a 4-way automatic tool-post, 3-jaw chuck and a spacious 400m swing with 750mm between centres, this machine is a steal at just £14,995.

The new ULTRATURN will be accompanied at the event by the AJL200 manual lathe that offers a variable speed control with 3 spindle speed ranges and a DRO system that provides constant surface speeds and impeccable surface finishes. This easy to use lathe is extremely robust with an induction hardened one-piece bed and case hardened gears. With a 200mm centre height, 400mm swing over bed and centre distance of 750/1,000mm, the AJL200 is the mid-size machine in this four machine range.

From the milling stable, Noon Machinery will present the impressive Ajax AJV550 vertical machining centre that has proven a huge hit in the marketplace. The popularity of the AJV550 is credit to its spacious 700 by 308mm bed, the powerful 7.5kW motor, 10 or 16 position tool changer and the choice of a FANUC or Heidenhain CNC control unit. This cost effective package is extremely robust, powerful and productive.

For machinists looking for a manual solution, Noon Machinery will showcase the Ajax AJT200 manual turret mill. This mainstay of any machine shop has chrome dovetail slideways, servo power feeds to X-axis, a 3hp main motor and a considerable working surface of 1270 by 230mm.

Alongside the milling and turning products will be one of the latest additions to the comprehensive Ajax product line, the new Scantool SB30 drilling machine. This showcase of diverse and flexible machining solutions will be complemented by a host of additional workshop equipment as well as innovations from technology partners such as Heidenhain, Blue Range Tools, Nikken, Zoller and One CNC. Nikken will be demonstrating its range of CNC rotary tables, NC tooling solutions and pre-setters whilst Zoller will also be showcasing its pre-setting, measuring and inspecting equipment. From a software perspective, One-CNC will demonstrate its efficient and affordable CAM solution and Heidenhain will be introducing its latest software developments for TNC controls and a complete selection of DRO controls. Completing the line-up will be Blue Range Tools with its high quality range of measuring, tool-holding, workholding and cutting tools that will compliment the machines on show.

Like the Ajax line-up, these technology specialists will have engineers on-hand to discuss all your manufacturing requirements. For further details on the event, please contact Ian Fenton or Terry Noon via www.noonmachinery.com.
