Boulting Group, the North West based engineering construction company, has achieved steelwork manufacturing CE certification to BS EN 1090-1 Executionable Class 3, to meet with industrial requirements and in line with market trends.
In building and construction market sectors, the CE mark reassures designers that materials are compliant with the manufacturing standards and the relevant Euro-Codes.
In addition, CE marking gives businesses easier access for European markets, to sell products without adaptation or rechecking, making trade easier and cheaper between the EU countries.
A manufacturing company can only become certified by a notified body to assess all systems and Boulting engaged The Welding Institute (TWI), the world-renown centre for metals joining.
Once the following systems are in place rigorous audits are undertaken by the TWI:
• Quality Management system that is compliant with BS EN ISO 9001:2008
• Welding Quality Management system that complies with BS EN ISO 3834-2:2005
• Factory production control system – BS EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011
‘Boulting Group’s investment in CE marking recognises the quality provided to our customers and assists in building long-lasting relationships,’ concluded Mark Stanley, Engineering Solutions MD at Boulting Group.
