OMRON Celebrates 90 Years of Innovation at Hall 9, Booth F24, Hannover Messe 2023 (17- 21 April 2023)

Today, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited the booth of OMRON Corporation, a global leader in automation technology, at Hannover Messe 2023 together with the President of Indonesia (partner country of Hannover Messe this year) Mr. Joko Widodo and his wife. The Chancellor had a first-hand experience of how robotics and AI can support flexible learning for assembly lines and virtual testing and operator training.

As the shortage of labour remains a pressing concern across all manufacturing sectors, businesses must explore ways to optimize human capabilities by integrating people-oriented automation technologies. An ideal solution is a harmonized automation approach that prioritizes the balance between productivity, sustainability, and worker wellbeing. The flexible assembly demonstration at the OMRON booth perfectly exemplifies this approach in action.

Seven demonstrations are showcased at OMRON’s the booth, illustrating how the company combines automation technologies such as robotics, control, sensing, and vision with emerging technologies like AI, AR, and 5G, to develop advanced solutions that support sustainable manufacturing.

Dr. Klaus Kluger, Sales Director for Central Eastern Europe at OMRON, stated, “We are proud to showcase our innovative automation technologies to Chancellor Scholz today. Our solutions have the potential to revolutionize manufacturing by addressing some of the major challenges faced by the industry, such as labour shortage and sustainability. By combining the power of robotics and AI with human capabilities, we can create a better future for manufacturing and society as a whole.”

OMRON’s booth at Hannover Messe 2023 highlights the company’s commitment to developing innovative solutions that promote sustainable manufacturing while addressing the challenges faced by the industry.
