ERP HEADtoHEAD Dublin 2026, an event hosted by Lumenia Consulting on 13-14 October, brought together more than 200 attendees from across Ireland and beyond to explore the future of ERP transformation

Throughout the two-day event, a clear message emerged from industry experts, software vendors and end users alike: organisations must establish strong processes, data foundations and governance frameworks before they can fully realise the benefits of AI.

ERP HEADtoHEAD™ Dublin event showcases growing momentum behind ERP AI transformation

Delegates ranged from SMEs to large global enterprises across manufacturing, construction, hospitality, utilities, R&D, wholesale and distribution, energy and renewables, and telecommunications, all focused on modernising their business systems and accelerating digital transformation programmes.

The growing impact of AI on ERP solutions and implementations was a key theme throughout the two-day event. A range of AI-driven capabilities, including natural language interfaces and intelligent workflow tools, and the pace of AI innovation across the sector over the past 12 months, were showcased by vendors and speakers. These discussions also reinforced the importance of strong business processes, effective data management and robust governance as the foundations required to support successful AI initiatives and ERP transformation programmes.

ERP HEADtoHEAD also explored the ongoing challenges organisations face around business readiness, change management and data preparation, with an industry panel sharing lessons learned from recent ERP projects, offering practical advice to delegates planning their own transformation journeys.

Commenting on this year’s event, Ian O’Toole, Managing Partner at Lumenia Consulting, said, “This year’s event highlighted a clear shift in the market. Conversations are no longer centred on whether organisations should modernise their ERP landscape, but how quickly they can do it. There was a genuine sense of momentum amongst delegates, many of whom are embarking on their own transformation programmes or preparing to begin them in the near future.”

O’Toole continues, “AI was naturally a major focus across the two days, but one of the strongest messages to emerge was that organisations still need to get the fundamentals right. Strong processes, quality data and effective governance remain essential foundations for both successful ERP projects and future AI initiatives.”

Delegates also voted Infor, together with strategic partner Anthesis, as the winner of the Best Vendor Demonstration Ireland 2026 award, achieving an overall satisfaction score of 92 per cent for its presentation of Infor CloudSuite. GenetiQ placed second with 91 per cent, while Binary finished third with 89 per cent for its demonstration of Microsoft Dynamics F&SCM.

The next of Lumenia’s ERP HEADtoHEAD per cent event will take place on 9-10 March 2027 at Eastside Rooms, Birmingham.
