For any professional thermographer, Level III certification is said to signify wide experience and a standard of knowledge that meets internationally recognised criteria. To provide thermographers with the opportunity to achieve this top qualification, the FLIR Infrared Training Centre (ITC) has just announced the dates for its next Level III certification training course.
The goal of this course is to enable pre-qualified Level II thermographers to set up and run a successful condition monitoring programme. And as such, the instruction includes guidance on acquiring and developing the necessary personnel, resources and technologies.
Practical work is also an important element of this course and includes study of heat transfer, IR window transmissivity measurement, emissivity cavity effect and grading the severity of thermal problems.
The FLIR Level III certification course will be held at FLIR Systems’ headquarters in West Malling and run from 1st to 5th October 2012 inclusively; the cost is £1785 + VAT. Contact ITC on 01732 220011.
