ATP Instrumentation has introduced a new infrared thermometer that incorporates a camera to capture the image of the measured item. By simply pointing the thermometer and pressing the trigger, the item’s temperature is displayed.

Pressing the trigger again captures a photo image which is overlaid with the measured items temperature. Also overlaid on the image is the date and time, ambient temperature, humidity, dew point and wet bulb values. The process can be used to capture still images or video. Video is suitable for temperature scan applications. Scanned application videos also overlay min/max temperatures with the average and differential temperature of the min/max since starting the scan mode. A USB connection is used to download images or video to a PC or laptop. These can be printed and attached to emails or reports.
