Materials handling products and services specialist Jungheinrich has announced that, to keep pace with anticipated growth in demand for its products in the years ahead, it is to invest €40 million in a new factory dedicated to the production of warehouse trucks and systems equipment.

Work on the new plant – which will be sited close to one of the company’s existing factories in the town of Moosburg, Germany – will start in April and is expected to be complete in the second half of 2013.

“By building this new plant, we are making an important investment in the future of our company, which will enable us to generate sustainable growth,” said Hans-Georg Frey, chairman of the board of management of Jungheinrich AG.
