Toyota Material Handling Europe has appointed Matthias Fischer, who is currently the managing director of Toyota Material Handling Deutschland, as the new President of Toyota Material Handling Europe.
Matthias Fischer has extensive material handling experience, covering sales, marketing, after sales and technical services, gained through several positions with Jungheinrich. Mr Fischer has served as managing director in Italy and later on as the Jungheinrich board member responsible for sales and marketing. Since April 1, 2007, Matthias Fischer has served as managing director of Toyota Material Handling Deutschland.
‘Mr Fischer has a solid experience of the material handling business from working closely with customers in the European market. With his background he will be able to lead Toyota Material Handling Europe to yet greater growth and profitability,’ says Christer Högberg, chairman of the board of directors.
The current president of Toyota Material Handling Europe, Håkan Dahllöf, has directed Toyota Material Handling Europe through a period of considerable changes. He was also one of the prime architects of the structure of the Toyota Material Handling Group, today a leading material handling player.
