Klimate High Speed Doors, a leading specialist designer and manufacturer of high speed doors based in Bolton, Lancashire has installed its one of its Ardent XP High Speed Doors at McBride’s Manchester manufacturing & distribution warehouse. This new installation will be the sites fourth high speed door and the third from Klimate. This latest installation is the last of a 3 door project that saw their existing high speed doors from Klimate replaced with new models.

The decision to install the Ardent XP high speed door underlines McBride’s commitment to the welfare of its staff and commitment to the environment. With high speed opening and closing (adjustable opening speeds of up to 2m/s) the Ardent range of doors offers the highest standards of hygiene reducing contamination by preventing the entry of airborne pollution, pests and vermin.

Robert Lishman, Facilities & Services manager for McBride’s says that the decision to opt for doors from Klimate was an easy one to make, “These doors are up to half the price as their nearest competitor which is always a plus point regardless of the state of the economy or the industry”. “We have the high speed doors located on high traffic flow areas throughout the facility where standard doors just would not be sufficient. With the rapid opening and closing speed of the Klimate doors, our staff do not feel the cold rushing in from the outside and production can continue at a steady speed.”

The Ardent range of doors also provides valuable energy savings by minimising heat loss and benefit from low maintenance costs. Due to the simplistic nature of the door and the fact that Klimate engineers are able to train the customer’s own maintenance personnel on the workings of the door, any minimal maintenance work can be quickly and easily undertaken in-house, drastically reducing on-going costs.
