The latest Bulk Bag Unloader being introduced by Flexicon Europe has been engineered for the rapid release of material from ‘single-trip’ bulk transfer bags.

It allows material to flow freely into the hopper which is attached to an integral flexible screw conveyor for transfer at any angle to downstream processing, storage or packaging equipment. A particular advantage of the new Bulk Bag Unloader is it allows bulk bag discharge to take place in areas of low headroom, relying on the user’s forklift or plant hoist to lower single-use bulk bags onto a four-bladed bag piercing knife.

This cuts the bag bottom from seam-to-seam, allowing it to self-seal against a thick gasket affixed to the rim of the hopper allowing complete discharge through a wide diameter hole in the centre of the gasket.

The new Single-Trip Bulk Bag Unloader is built to the highest of standards in a stainless steel finished to industrial, food, dairy or pharmaceutical standards or of carbon steel with durable industrial finish.

The unit, like other Flexicon developments, is suitable for handling a diverse range of free and non-free-flowing bulk materials ranging from large pellets to sub-micron powders.
