MHL has just returned from Denmark where local company Andresen Towers has recently purchased two Combilift Straddle Carriers in order to optimise material handling at the company’s new site in Nyborg as well as its other factory in Langeskov.
Andresen Towers is striving to find new and innovative ideas in the development of wind towers which will reduce the price of wind energy and make it a viable alternative to fossil energy sources.
The Straddle Carriers are being used as a cost-effective solution in the handling of 13.6m wind tower shells for the company.
Combilift’s Straddle Carrier is capable of handling loads of all sizes with maximum efficiency and safety – up to 35,000 kg with a minimal ground pressure.
A special attachment allows the customer to use the straddle for multiple lifting tasks.
