IT solutions provider transtec has negotiated a new distribution deal with Huawei and is now certified to market the Chinese manufacturer’s entire storage portfolio. This will significantly leverage transtec’s own range of professional, high-quality storage systems.
The first step of this distribution partnership will be to introduce Huawei’s OceanStor storage system product series into the transtec program.
This includes for example storage products from the 6000/5000/2000 entry- level and mid-sized series as well as the Chinese manufacturer’s big data storage solution OceanStor 9000. Huawei offers a wide range of hardware platforms and management software in its program to meet a variety of data storage, analysis and archiving demands.
transtec will market Huawei’s storage systems in all countries where the company has its own subsidiaries, in other words Germany, the Benelux countries, France, the UK and Switzerland. transtec assists businesses in first finding the right solution, then rolling out and configuring systems and finally providing the right level of services and support. transtec’s specialists have been certified with the highest partnership level, the Huawei Gold Partnership.
The companies are expected to expand on this strategic partnership in the future by adding server and network products from the Huawei portfolio to the transtec program with the aim of targeting the HPC segment.
