We got an inquiry from our Partner that got an inquiry from a company with a serious challenge! They need to do a turning operation inside a hole that is only 10mm in diameter and 80 mm deep. They had tried everything they could find but not even the best and most expensive carbide bar could get close to the surface finished they needed. Our Partner contacted us, and we decided to take on the challenge. Is it even possible to build such a small de-vibe damped bar? We put in all our experience, knowledge, dedication (the MAQ-spirit) and together with our Partner, their new customer, our suppliers we managed! And when we got started it was actually not possible to stop us from even making it with coolant through. We know that it is critically important to get the chips out and the smaller the hole in the workpiece the bigger the problem.
